Adult Literacy

There are many reasons to be a strong reader – for your family, for your work, for yourself. Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County can help you meet your goals.

We will help you find a trained Tutor that is good for you. Tutoring is free, in a place near your home and at a time when you are not busy. We are friendly, and we are private.

If you want to be a better, stronger reader, call 946-5333.

Call LV Wayne at 946-5333 or visit us at 12 Canal Street in Lyons. To better help you, we will ask questions about your school, your life now, and why you want to improve your skills. If you have a special need, we will work hard to make sure your need is met. We are friendly and completely private. We will not tell anyone your name, even if someone asks. Only your tutor will know who you are.

Other Things You Can Do

There are many other things you can do as a Literacy Volunteers Student. You can join the Student Club and go on trips, picnics, or just talk with people who are also working hard to read better. You can volunteer to help make Literacy Volunteers work better. If you would like, you can also help talk to people about literacy or learning English. If there is something else you would like to do, you can tell the people who work for Literacy Volunteers.
